Localized Australian Care Taxonomy
Beginner Friendly. Easier to grow than many delicate ferns; tolerates occasional dry spells better than maidenhairs.
Part shade to deep shade. Enjoys bright, indirect light indoors. Avoid direct midday sun which will burn the fronds.
Moderate to High. Keep soil consistently moist but never soggy. Water thoroughly when the surface of the soil starts to feel dry.
Rich, organic, well-draining soil. Combine premium potting mix with 20% peat moss and 10% perlite to lock in moisture while draining well.
Appreciates high humidity. Keep misted indoors during dry summer days, and protect from dry winter heaters and frosty outdoor nights.
Spores. Mature clumps may also develop side offsets which can be carefully sliced off and potted up in spring.
Symmetrical, arching, and palm-like. A compact crown of narrow, bright green fronds forming a mini tree silhouette.
Bright, humid bathrooms, protected outdoor courtyards, shaded patios, or under forest canopies.
Versatile Sheltered
Safe:Non-toxic to pets and children, making it a safe choice for families and pet owners.
