Wax Plant

Hoya carnosa

Hoya Carnosa, commonly known as the Wax Plant or Waxflower, is a popular climbing or trailing vine native to East Asia and northern Australia. It features thick, fleshy, semi-succulent green leaves and produces spherical clusters of sweet-scented, star-shaped pink or white flowers with a waxy texture.

Native Origin & Climate

Tropical and subtropical forest areas of Asia and northern Queensland. Highly suited to bright indoor rooms and warm patios in Australia.

Expert Pruning Tip

Never prune the leafless flower spurs (peduncles) that remain after blooming! Hoya flowers re-bloom from these exact same spots year after year.
