Localized Australian Care Taxonomy
Beginner Friendly. Hardier than most other ferns, tolerating lower humidity and occasional dryness much better.
Medium to bright indirect light. Can tolerate some morning sun, but avoid hot, burning direct afternoon sun.
Moderate. Allow the top 2 cm of soil to dry out before watering again. Do not keep the soil constantly soggy, as it is prone to root rot.
Rich, organic, well-draining soil. Mix 70% indoor potting mix with 30% peat moss or perlite for optimal root health.
Adapts well to standard household humidity. Protect from frosty outdoor conditions and dry heating vents.
Division. Carefully divide root clumps during spring repotting, ensuring each division has roots and healthy fronds.
Compact, low-growing, and arching. Long, dark stems lined with neat, round, button-like dark green leaflets.
Filtered light windowsills, table tops, desks, or terrariums.
Versatile Sheltered
Safe:Safe for pets and children. Non-toxic, making it a great, worry-free houseplant option.
