Heartleaf Philodendron

Philodendron cordatum

Philodendron Cordatum (Heartleaf Philodendron) is an evergreen climbing vine native to southeastern Brazil. Boasting heart-shaped leaves on long, slender trailing stems, it is extremely popular for indoor shelves, hanging baskets, and terrariums. Fast-growing and resilient, it tolerates lower light and missed waterings, making it a favorite for beginners.

Native Origin & Climate

Humid tropical Brazilian forest canopy. Thrives indoors across all Australian states and on sheltered verandas.

Expert Pruning Tip

Prune the trailing vines regularly to keep the foliage dense and bushy. Cuttings can be rooted in water to start new plantlets.
